2021 Health & Wellness Addendum
Please note that our safety protocols may change as the situation and requirements change. We are committed to effective communication and will notify parents/guardians via email regarding any changes, as well as updating this webpage.

The Township has modified the 2021 program to include the following:

1. Health Assessment: All parents/guardians are asked to do a health assessment of their child if they are showing signs or symptoms of illness. Please keep your child home if they have a fever of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or above, or if they exhibit signs and symptoms of illness.
2. Outdoor Check-In/Out: Parents/guardians will check in/out their child(ren) outside in the field behind the Snyder House, weather permitting. Please park in designated parking spots and walk your child(ren) to the check-in/out location each day.
3. Cohorting/Pods: Campers will be assigned to small groups and mixing/interaction between groups will be limited as much as possible.
4. Increased Outdoor Activities: Please note that we plan to hold all camp activities outside, including arrival/departure. An indoor location is available for inclement weather, such as heavy rain or extreme heat.
5. Increased Hand Washing/Sanitizing: Campers will be required to sanitize their hands upon arrival and prior to departure. Increased hand washing/sanitizing will be done throughout the camp day.
6. Increased Cleaning: High-touch surfaces will be cleaned when switching between pods, as needed throughout the day, and after camp each day.

Campers, parents, and staff are welcome to wear a mask if they prefer and camp staff will support each individual's decision. If a camper prefers to wear a mask, it is highly recommended that parents/guardians send 1-2 extra masks to camp each day. We will be active and your child will be more comfortable if they can switch to a clean/dry mask when needed.

Medical Conditions (Allergies, Medications, etc)
  • Your child's safety is important to us. Please be sure to include all medical conditions (ex: allergies, asthma, dietary restrictions, medications) that you feel we should be aware of on your child's account information. This will be pulled into your child's registration so that our staff may review it prior to camp.
  • Changes made on your account to your child's medical information must be made by the Wednesday prior to camp. Please notify the Camp Director if you make a change after the Wednesday prior to camp so that our rosters can be updated.
  • Deerfield Township staff are not permitted to administer medication. If your child needs medication during program hours, staff may hold the medication until the child asks for it. Staff can not be responsible for reminding children of medication times or the administration of any medication.
  • Deerfield Township values all children. If your child needs special assistance during program hours, please speak with our Camp Director so that we may work together to determine feasible accommodations and to ensure a positive experience for your child.
