Frequently Asked Questions


How do I know what dates are available?
Follow the header menu path Things to Do > Rent Snyder House. On the facility page, you may view the rental length, rental rates, amenities, and the current calendar of activities. (Please note that the calendar is for informational purposes only; availability is not guaranteed.)

How far in advance do you book rentals?

You may submit a booking request for the Snyder House up to 1 year in advance. Booking requests must be submitted at least 10 business days in advance. The deposit is due at time of booking.

When are the contract, deposit, and final payment due?
After the reservation is approved, the deposit and signed contract must be submitted within 5 business days. The rental balance is due 60 days prior to the reservation or the reservation will be cancelled and deposit forfeited. To view a sample contract, please click here.

How do I schedule a Tour? Do I have to schedule a tour?
A mandatory Snyder House Orientation Tour is required prior to the reservation date. Snyder House Orientations are available by appointment only. To schedule a tour, please contact Susan at 513.701.6972 or ssecr@deerfieldtwp.com.

I have rented the Snyder House before. Do I have to go through another Orientation Tour?
Orientations must be done annually to ensure renters are informed of any changes in the facility.

May we go upstairs?
No, the upstairs is strictly off limits. Rentals are limited to the first floor only.

May we come in early or the day before to set up?
Set up must be done during the rental period on the contract. The rental period for full day rentals is 10:00am - midnight on Fri/Sat/Sun and 10:00am - 11:00pm on Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs. To set up the day prior to your event, you are required to include the additional day in your booking and pay the associated rental fees.

May we serve alcohol at our event?
Alcohol is not permitted in the public areas, such as the playground, shelters, public restrooms, etc. Alcohol is permitted to be served to guests or attendees at private functions inside the Snyder House during the term of the License Agreement. The sale of alcoholic beverages requires a permit from the State of Ohio and the procurement of such permit is the sole responsibility of the Licensee. Underage consumption of alcohol is prohibited.

What is available for cooking?
Food should be cooked prior to arrival. The kitchen contains an oven (no cooktop) and a microwave for reheating.

Is a refrigerator available?
Yes, a refrigerator is available to use during the rental period. All items that were placed in the refrigerator must be removed at the end of the rental period.

Are linens or dishes available?
No, linens and dishes are not provided.

How many tables and chairs are available?
Tables and black folding chairs are available to accommodate the maximum of 99 people.

10 - 6ft rectangular tables (30in wide, 72in long, 29in high)
2 - 6ft rectangular tables (36in wide, 72in long, 29in high)

Who sets up the tables and chairs?
The renter is responsible for table and chair arrangement. There is a Standard Layout for the facility which is outlined in the contract. Renters are welcome to rearrange tables and chairs inside the facility during their rental. However, renters must return tables back to the Standard Layout prior to departure. This includes returning any extra tables and all chairs to the specified storage location.

May we take the tables and chairs outside?
No, we ask that all tables and chairs be kept inside the Snyder House. If needed, outdoor tables and chairs must be provided by the renter.
